RICHARD LEIVAN

GOLDEN CITY- A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at Nigh Cemetery for Richard “Tricky Dick” Leivan, 67, who died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024. Dinner will follow at the Lamar Park enclosed shelter at 3:30 p.m.
Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Renfro and husband Nick; a son, Christopher “Floyd” Leivan and wife Charity; 12 grandchildren and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth; a brother, Ronald; a sister, Nancy; a son, Samuel; a grandson, Noah and his fiance, Teresa.
Mr. Leivan was born Jan. 26, 1957, in Lamar, to Raymond and Ruth Leivan. He was a 1975 graduate of Golden City High School.
He worked as a union carpenter and was a fine mechanic. He was very proud of his children, enjoyed life, had a green thumb and loved to fish. He loved to watch his granddaughters play ball.
He always lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed.
