ALLENE MARIE PHIPPS

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Daniel Funeral Home for Allene Marie Phipps, 86, Lamar, who died Thursday, March 14, 2024, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Anthony Phipps and wife Henri, Carthage; two daughters, Myra Percy and husband Jason, Carthage and Kay Timmons, Lamar; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale; one son, Jeff Phipps; one son-in-law, Tim Timmons and two sisters, Lavon Forste and Susan Pottorf.

Mrs. Phipps was born May 3, 1937, in Lamar, to Lester Soloman Braker and Fern Etta (Baker) Braker. She married Arthur Dale Phipps on Jan. 14, 1955, in Barton County. He died Oct. 5, 1997.

She was a homemaker, who took immense joy in caring for her family.
