RUSSELL EARL STRATTON

TALLADEGA, Ala.- A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega for Russell Earl Stratton, 93, Talladega, who passed away at his home on Friday, June 7, 2024. Clint Walker officiated.

Mr. Stratton was born in Rural Barton County, Mo. He graduated from Golden City High School (1949). He enlisted into the United States Air Force and retired after 23 years of service.

He lived most of his life in Talladega and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Talladega. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Dana Stratton; wife, Mary Stratton; sister, Lois Tucker and brother, Karl Stratton.

Mr. Stratton is survived by his wife, Roberta and daughter Sherry Barber (Wayne) and son Todd Stratton (Nanci); 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Townley, Helen Heiskell (Paul) and Sharon Stratton.
