HOWARD EDWIN SHEETS

GOLDEN CITY- A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, at Daniel Funeral Home, for Howard Edwin Sheets, 71, Golden City, who died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood.

The family will receive friends prior to the service time, beginning at 1 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Daniel Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.

Survivors include one son, Ryan Sheets and wife Halle, Golden City; two daughters, Ellise Austin and husband Andrew, Golden City and Rachel Sheets, Springfield and four grandchildren, Ayvun, Aldyn, Zoey and Benson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a cousin, Johnny Tubaugh.

Mr. Sheets was born May 27, 1953, in Lamar, to Glen Howard Sheets and Ruth Maurine (Tubaugh) Sheets. He graduated from Golden City High School in the class of 1971.

Mr. Sheets owned and operated his own auto repair, worked as a welder and farmed. He was a caring friend, ornery to his core, a believer in God, but most of all a loving father and very proud papa.
