MABEL “JUNE” BOLTON
FT. SCOTT, Kan.-A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arma, for Mabel “June” Bolton, 88, Ft. Scott, a former Mindenmines, Mo. resident, that died at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Medicalodges of Ft. Scott. Father Robert Wachter was the celebrant. Burial was at Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry. Rotary was said prior to the mass.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bedene Funeral Home, Arma.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Colgan Grade School at Pittsburg or St. Mary's Grade School at Ft. Scott, in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, Mark L. Bolton and wife Brinda, Ft. Scott; a daughter, Nancy Bolton-Maze and husband Byron, Ft. Scott; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jayne Bolton.
Mrs. Bolton was born June 14, 1927, at Pittsburg, to Michael and Elizabeth (Eccher) Cignetti. She was a homemaker who had resided in Mindenmines, Mo. for 79 years. She was reared in Mindenmines and graduated from Mindenmines High School. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Mulberry and later attended St. Joseph, Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Lourdes.
She married Donald L. Bolton on Jan. 14, 1950, in Frontenac. He died Sept. 26, 2002.
