LAMAR-Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home for Julia Anne Carter, 58, Lamar, who died Friday, March 4, 2016, at Freeman Hospital West.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell, of the home; one son, Brian Carter, Lamar; two daughters, Brenda Miller and husband Lee, Lamar and Christi Little and husband Dave, Nevada, Mo.; her father, Bill Heathman, Nevada, Mo.; nine grandchildren, David Allen Jr., Destiny, Cody, Sarah, Karen, Lucy, Luke, Dakota and Megan and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Mrs. Carter was born Aug. 2, 1957, at Nevada, Mo., to William “Bill” Heathman and Mary Anne (Davenport) Heathman. She graduated high school at Metz and on Sept. 10, 1975, she married Wendell E. Carter. She was a homemaker and had also worked as a secretary for Halls Trailer Mfg., as well as J & W Trailers in Lamar.
