Mrs. Grubb was born April 14, 1989, in Lamar, to Lance and Jerri (Soma) Townsley. She graduated from Lamar High School in 2007 before attending MSU and later pursued a degree in radiology from Missouri Southern. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was currently working as a sales associate at Joplin Sam's Club.

She married Sean Grubb on Aug. 1, 2014 and on Dec. 21, 2015 they welcomed their daughter, Kenadi Lane, to the family. Mrs. Grubb's quick wit and keen sense of humor drew people to her and she loved the fellowship of her wide circle of close friends. She was a devoted KU fan and very enthusiastic about her Jayhawks, an avid animal lover and was especially fond of her Corgi, Nelli. She found joy in helping others and was always very generous with her time and talents. Her final gift was the wonderful legacy she shared by being an organ donor.
