LARRY LAMAR HELMER SR.

Larry Lamar Helmer Sr., age 71, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on May 26, 2025.

Larry was born on February 22, 1954, in Vallejo, California, to Larry Helmer and Barbara (Stewart) Helmer. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a self-employed carpenter. A skilled craftsman and dedicated worker, Larry was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and also loved to fish.

He is survived by his son, Larry Helmer Jr. and his wife Ericka; his daughter, Crystal Gerbitz and her husband Brian; four grandchildren, Brielle Helmer, Paisley Helmer, Irelane Helmer and Crew Helmer; and two brothers, Bob Bunyea and Jim Hill.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

A burial service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Nigh Cemetery in Lamar, Missouri.
