ALDINE ORRILLA SIMMONS

Aldine Orrilla Simmons, age 71, of Greenfield, Missouri, passed away on July 11, 2025, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood, Missouri.

Aldine was born October 4, 1953, in Lamar, Missouri, to Donald M. McMurray and Ethel Moritta (Moriston) McMurray. On May 20, 1975, she was united in marriage to Harold Glenn Simmons in Miami, Oklahoma.

Aldine devoted her life to her family and home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a faithful member of the Arcola Christian Church. Aldine loved riding the motorcycle across America and enjoyed being on the boat and fishing at Stockton Lake.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harold Simmons; two sons, Michael Simmons of Winnemucca, Nevada, and Mark Simmons of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Debbie (Rob) Geile of St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters, Mettie (Dan) Schreiweis, of Lamar, Missouri, Margarett (Harold) Greenwald of Ida Grove, Iowa and Melva Collins of Lamar, Missouri; one brother, Donald (Pearl) McMurray of Lamar, Missouri; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Aldine was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joe McMurray and brother-in-law, Alvin Collins. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Newport Baptist Church in Lamar, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
