Stanley Adams, left, a 1967 graduate from Lamar High School and now residing in Colorado Springs, along with his son Jake Adams arrived in St. Paul, Minn. To participate in the 2300 mile Great Race. They drove the 1966 Ford F-100 truck that Stan’s father and grandfather had driven around Lamar for more than 20 years. Jim Owen bought the truck new in Lamar from Medlin Brothers Ford.
