Groundbreaking held for senior housing project

The Barton County Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed MBL Development Company with a groundbreaking ceremony held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14. MBL has begun the construction of a senior housing project, located off of NW 1st Lane, that will include 38 two-bedroom, one bath units, along with a community building complete with computers, TVs, a full kitchen and exercise room and also a maintenance building. Each unit will also feature its own carport. These apartments will be available to independent individuals aged 55 and over. According to Roger Jared, project manager, the housing project should be completed within 12-14 months.
