Barb and David Thrasher are valued 4-H volunteers in Barton County 4- H Youth Development programs. The Thrashers have experienced 4-H as club members as well as club leaders. They served as 4-H club leaders, beginning to volunteer in 2003 when their daughter Tai became a member of the Learn A Do 4-H Club. As parent volunteers they spent priceless hours with club meetings, county activities and project meetings. The Thrasher's focus was primarily on 4-H Public Speaking and helping youth to qualify for State 4-H Public speaking. Over the years they have continued helping out at county and regional events, most currently finding new interest in 4-H Clover Kid program, helping youth prepare for 4-H of the future. They both have experienced 4-H life skills and leadership with generations in the community. Their impact on countless numbers of youth with “Learning by Doing " 4-H project work is priceless. The Barton County 4-H Council was proud to recognize inductees Barb and David Thrasher for the 2025 Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame for "Making the Best Better."
