Liberal athletes advance to next level

Photo by Catherine Williams Kerri Borghardt signed with Cottey College to play volleyball next fall in a signing ceremony held Friday afternoon, Feb. 6, in the Liberal High School gymnasium. Also signing on Friday afternoon was Elam Beaman. He is continuing his goal of becoming a quarterback at the next level for MidAmerica Nazarene. A local TV station was present and interviewed both athletes. Many friends and family attended the signing. Both students come from a long line of families that graduated from Liberal High School.
