MARCIA GWEN GRIFFITT

Marcia Gwen Griffitt, of Lamar, MO, departed this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 76.

She was born on May 29, 1949 in Lamar, MO to Max and Darlene (Jones) Davis  Marcia graduated from Lamar High School and attended Cosmetology School. She had worked for Finley Engineering in Lamar for several years. Marcia was a member of the Barton County Eagles. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Max and Darlene Davis; three brothers, Larry Davis, Lindell Davis, and Scott Davis; and one sister, Shirlene Davis.

Survivors include five children, Piper Shankles of Joplin, MO, Rowdy Masterson of Lamar, MO, Zach Masterson and his wife Jill of Lockwood, MO, Rocky Higgins of Lamar, MO, and Carla Higgins of Lamar, MO; one sister, Debra Davis of Lamar, MO; four grandchildren, Bayleigh, Paxton, Zain, and Finley; four great-grandchildren, Gabby, Shaleigh, Tyson, and Kyleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com. Cremation services were under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
