Jerry Thieman, Stan Adams (driver in the Great Race) and Anthony Brisbin are pictured with the 1966 Ford F-100 that was originally purchased new from Medlin Brothers Ford in Lamar by Adams’ grandfather, Jim Owen. The three-day Great Race Spring Rally was an event that was part of Springfield’s Route 66 Centennial Celebration. Thieman, Adams and Brisbin are all classmates of Lamar High School’s class of 1967.
