LLOYD R. MILLER

CARTHAGE-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ulmer Funeral Home for Lloyd R. Miller, 77, Carthage, who died at his home on Monday, May 23, 2016. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Lamar.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include five sons, Floyd Miller, Randy Miller, Ron Miller and wife Darlene, Frank Miller and Roland Miller and wife Marlo, all of Carthage; one daughter, Jeanetta Coburn and husband Tim, Carthage; four brothers, Doyle Miller and wife Judy, Calvin Miller and wife Janet, Keith Miller and wife Kathy and Larry Miller and wife Bell; three sisters, Lavern Sprouls, Lorene Sprinkle and husband Roy and Sharon Stout and husband Junior; 14 grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Tyler, Dustin, Tiffany, Kyle, Josh, Hannah, Blaine, Kayla, Jessica, Madelynn, Rodney and Eric and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Miller.

Mr. Miller was born Dec. 16, 1938, in Adair, Okla., the son of T.O. Miller and Genetta (Tull) Miller. He grew up in Iantha and had lived in Carthage since the early 60's. He was a farmer and owned and operated Ol-Bull Marketing. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He married Joan Phipps on Sept. 14, 1958, at Oakton Baptist Church, northwest of Lamar.
