Thorco employees receive final letter

Thorco employees received their official letters on Thursday, June 9, stating that all production would be ceased as of August 31. The first round of layoffs will begin August 17, according to Debra Probert, general manager, with the final stop date of August 31. Employees that will be needed to help with shutting down the plant will stay a while longer, with the complete vacancy date set for September 30.
