RANDY J. DAVIS

LAMAR-A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home for Randy J. Davis, 53, Lamar, who died peacefully in the company of his parents and sons on Friday, June 10, 2016, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after a tough battle with cancer. The family will receive friends following the service.

Contributions are suggested to MD Anderson Cancer Center or American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born April 14, 1963, at Monett, to Gene and Theresa (Cronister) Davis. He started kindergarten at Lamar Schools and was part of the class of 1981. He attended college at SMSU in Springfield. He married Carol Harris and together they had two sons, Wyatt Hunter Davis and Morgan Joseph Davis. He and Carol were later divorced.

He was co-owner of TLT Wire Products in Nevada, Mo., and had most recently worked as a sales representative for Leggett and Platt in Carthage, before retiring due to medical issues.

He loved hunting and fishing and his dogs, Bo and Bud. He was of the Catholic faith and a charter member and officer of the Lamar Elks Club No. 2800.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
