Ferris recognized as one of 15 most influential women in SW Missouri

Lamar Democrat/Richard Cooper The Chief Executive Officer of the Barton County Chamber of Commerce, Astra Ferris, has been recognized by the Joplin Regional Business Journal as one of 15 most influential women in the southwest Missouri region. Astra has led the chamber for four years. Prior to that, she was in the banking industry for nine years. Although born in Joplin, she has called Lamar home since 2004. Most recently, she has agreed to work with City Administrator Lynn Calton in promoting economic development.
