Barton County Memorial Hospital made a $510 donation to the Lamar Police Department’s Animal Control division, June 29, to be used for developing the Trula Cain Memorial Dog Park. The money was raised by the hospital through the sale of pet calendars by its Pet Therapy program. Members of the community are asked to submit photos of their pets to the hospital with the winners to be featured in its next pet calendar. Trula Cain worked many years with the local humane society. The police department expresses its gratitude to the hospital for its thoughtful program.
