CARL STOCKDALE

ARLINGTON, Texas-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., for Carl Oldham Stockdale, 95, a longtime Barton County (Mo.) farmer, who died early Sunday morning, July 31, 2016, at Satori Residential Care in Arlington, where he had moved to be near family. Burial will be in Lake Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
Contributions are suggested to Serenity Equine Therapy, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Marc Doosti, a granddaughter, Zhana Sanders and husband Reagan and a great-grandson, Jackson Sanders, all of Ft. Worth, Texas and three sisters, Joan Williamson and husband Earl, Independence, Mo., Gay Crisler and husband Herbert, Willis and Dixie Robinson and husband Ronald, Cedar Creek, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita and three sisters, Sue, Mary and Daisy.
Mr. Stockdale was born Jan. 20, 1921, in rural Barton County, Mo., to Hollis Carl and Gertrude Frances (Oldham) Stockdale. He was a 1938 Jasper (Mo.) High School graduate and a lifelong area resident. He married Mary Juanita Brasher on Sept. 26, 1943, in Carthage, Mo., and they made their home and farmed in Barton County, Mo. for many years.
