Mr. Williams was born July 23, 1958, in Smithville, to Woodford and Wanda (White) Williams. He moved with his family at a young age to Mindenmines and was a 1976 graduate of Liberal High School. He joined the Army National Guard and served his country for 20 years. In addition, he worked for 30 years at O'Sullivan Industries. When the plant closed in 2007 he was hired on at Leggett & Platt, working in Carthage until ill health forced his retirement in April 2016.

He married his best friend, Linda Kay Howerton, on June 4, 1999, at Las Vegas, Nevada and they made wonderful memories bowling, fishing and camping together. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed any movie as long as John Wayne was in it. His greatest joy came from the fellowship of good friends and time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
