Memorial service to be held for stillborn infant found in pond

A memorial service will be held for the body of a stillborn infant found in a pond southeast of Lamar on July 11. Daniel Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Services will be at 6 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. A representative of the Ministerial Alliance will officiate. The body has been given the name “Baby Belle.”

Interment will be in the St. Mary’s portion of Lamar’s Lake Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations are recommended to pay for a stone to mark the grave.
