John Davis to assume leadership of Lamar Police Department

Deputy Chief of Police John Davis will assume leadership duties of the Lamar Police Department, October 29, the day following the retirement of Chief Ken Bergman. This action was recommended by the Police Board and confirmed by a consensus of the Lamar City Council in a closed meeting on personnel following the October 17 meeting of the council. Davis will serve until such time as the appointment is re-evaluated prior to the release of Mayoral appointments at the April, 2017 council meeting.
