Members of the Lamar cross country boy's team were escorted out of town as they left at 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 4, to compete at State in Jefferson City. The intersection of Hwy. 160 and Maple was blocked as police flanked the bus, both front and back, as they traveled from the high school west down Hwy. 160. Signs were waved, horns were honked and lights were flashed as many showed their support for the team.
