LAMAR-A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakton United Methodist Church for Linda L. Franklin, 61, Lamar, who died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 9, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a heart attack. Burial will be in Oakton Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Franklin family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Keith Franklin, of the home; two sons, Scott Rhodifer and wife Jessica, Lamar and Frank Parker, Jr. and wife Alysha, Fort Scott, Kan.; three daughters, Brandy Kirch and husband Travis, Liberal, Stephanie Gruver and husband Nick, Pittsburg, Kan. and Stacy Rhodifer, Lamar; a brother, David Williams and wife Anne, Lamar; two sisters, Pat Burr and husband Charles, Lamar and Nita Boyd and husband Mike, Naphalie, Va.; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Steve Williams and a grandson, Noah Leivan.

Mrs. Franklin was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Clay County, to Woodford and Wanda (White) Williams. After graduating from Liberal High School in 1973, she earned a CNA certificate and worked in several nursing homes and as a private duty caregiver over the years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and nurtured her family as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She married Keith Franklin on Nov. 2, 1993.
