Thanksgiving meals benefit community

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Lamar First Baptist Church offered its annual Thanksgiving meal to the community, with a total of 552 meals being served. There were 329 meals delivered to individuals in town, with 40 volunteers delivering a total of 22 routes. Carry-outs were also available. Two hundred and twenty-three individuals enjoyed the meal at 12 noon, in the church's fellowship hall. Thirty individuals, representing 18 families, worked throughout the week, preparing the delicious meal of turkey and ham, complete with all the trimmings.
