Mr. Brumback was born July 20, 1949, in Exeter, Calif., to Henry and Alice (Dalton) Brumback. He spent his childhood in Farmersville, Calif. A true adventurer, he had called many places home and was always eager to accept the challenge of expanded horizons. He had a passion for custom Harley-Davidson bikes and they would always be his favorite mode of travel. Living in Georgia filled him with a lasting southern pride, fostered his interest in Civil War and American history and made him a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan. His natural musical talent led him to serve on the executive board of Georgia Song Writers Association for several years. While living in Oklahoma, he captured the essence of true cowboys through his work as a rodeo photographer and matched their grit by becoming a bronc rider. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting in the Rockies in Colorado and was drawn to the ocean and deep sea fishing.

While living in California, Nevada, Georgia, Oklahoma, Colorado and Arkansas, he worked in construction, contracting to build or finish projects, with a specialty in drywall. He retired to Mindenmines in 2008 and moved to Lamar in 2016 to be near family.
