ALICE HOOVER

LIBERAL-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hannon Freewill Baptist Church for Alice LaRue Hoover, 82, Liberal, who died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at the Medical Lodge in Girard, Kan. Burial will be in Barton City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hannon Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Lyle Hoover and wife Loretta, Lynn Hoover and wife Jeanne and Craig Hoover, all of Liberal and Doug Hoover and wife Valerie, Jefferson City; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hoover was born June 29, 1934, in Verdella, to Stanley and Beatrice (Russell) Snyder. She was an only child. She was a 1951 graduate of Liberal High School. She had worked for many years for the Liberal schools as a secretary, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Hannon Free Will Baptist Church.

She married Charlie Hoover on Oct. 25, 1953. He died Jan. 1, 2005.
