LAMAR-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Anna Mae Powell, 65, Lamar, who died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at her home, after an illness. Pastor Robb Hodson will officiate. Burial will be in Iantha Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Powell; one son, Logan Powell and wife Becky, Lamar; her parents, Loyal and Velma Berryhill, Jasper; one brother, Carl Berryhill and wife Debbie, Jasper; one sister, Elene Fitchpatrick, Jasper; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Clayton and Brady and a sister-in-law, Shirley Metcalf and husband Ernie, Lamar.
Mrs. Powell was born May 19, 1951, in Jasper, to Loyal Lee and Velma May (Smith) Berryhill. She was a 1969 graduate of Jasper High School. She earned an associates degree from Draughon Business College and worked at Lamar Bank and Trust for 44 years, just six months shy of 45 years, retiring early because of health issues. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed showing cars with her husband at car shows. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and was a good cook. She was a member of Lamar First Baptist Church.
She married Walter E. Powell on Nov. 3, 1972, in Jasper.
