OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Porter Funeral Home in Overland Park, for Georgia Maye (Clark) Wallace, 85. Overland Park, who died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016. Burial was in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens in Shawnee.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Burnett and husband Earl and family and a son, Tommy Wallace and family, Overland Park; her sister, Leila Giger and husband Marion, Irwin, Mo.; a nephew, Richard Giger and Derelene, Lamar, Mo.; a niece, Joyce Braudaway and Dean and family, Carl Junction, Mo. and a sister-in-law, Edna Clark and a niece, Sandra Lucas, Lamar, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wallace; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Ann Wallace; an infant grandson, Nicholas Burnett; a brother, Herbert Clark; a sister, Pauline (Clark) Rea and husband Jerry Rea and a nephew, Jason Lucas.

Mrs. Wallace was born Aug. 20, 1931, in Lamar, Mo., to James and Josephine (Feezell) Clark. She was a 1949 graduate of Liberal (Mo.) High School. Following graduation, she moved to Kansas City, Mo., to seek employment and had worked for several years at Russell Stover Candy as a secretary. She later met Bob Wallace and they were married and made their home in Overland Park, where they reared their family and she resided until her passing.

Mrs. Wallace was always an outgoing person with a friendly smile and never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
