Junior High Honor Band performs concert

The Junior High Honor Band concert was held at the Ronald R. Barton Performing Arts Center at Webb City High School on Saturday, Jan. 14. Auditions were held on January 6, at the Performing Arts Center at Joplin High School. Lamar had four seventh graders and three eighth graders chosen for Honor Band. Pictured, left to right, are: Joe Mills (Bass Clarinet, 1st Chair); Quenlyn Shaver (Clarinet, 14th Chair); Kaitlyn Davis (Flute, 3rd Chair); Meghan Watson (Flute, 8th Chair); Haily Born (Bass Clarinet, 1st Chair); Jacob Morrison (Alto Saxophone, 6th Chair) and Bradyn Martin (Trumpet, 10th Chair). Eighth graders, Born, Davis and Watson, were also selected to the Honor Band the previous year of eligibility. The students were accompanied by their band director, Becky Payne.
