JOHN MCCLANE

LAMAR-Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lamar Family Ministries for John David McClane, 41, Lamar, who died unexpectedly Tuesday night, Jan. 24, 2017, at his home. Pastor Bob Petersen will officiate. Burial will be in Nigh Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the McClane family, in care of the funeral home.

He married Robin DeMoss on Nov. 5, 2011, at Lamar and she survives. Also surviving are four sons, Chase, Tyler, Nate and Trent; three daughters, Brooke, Karah and Mikaya; a granddaughter, Paisley; his parents, Bobby and Jane Griffitt, Lockwood; his mother-in-law, Ma Cripps, Joplin; a brother, Aaron and T.Y. McClane, Joplin; a sister, Joy and Joe Leverich, Webb City; a close church family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two uncles, B.J. Allen and Richard James.
Mr. McClane was born April 25, 1975, in Memphis, Tenn. He moved with his family to Lamar in 1986 and was a 1993 graduate of Lamar High School. He worked for Thorco for several years and had been a store manager at KD's Flooring for the past seven years. He was a devoted son, husband and father and an active and faithful member of Lamar Family Ministries. He was a talented singer and an excellent cook. An enthusiastic sportsmen, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, deer and any activity that could be shared with his family. He was an avid Lamar Tiger and Dallas Cowboys fan.
