HELEN RAE HAYS

JUPITER, Fla.- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 9625 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL for Helen Rae (Gould) Hays, 88, Jupiter, who died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017.
Friends may call at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 U.S. Hwy 1, North Palm Beach on Friday, March 3, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gratitude House, 1700 North Dixie Hwy., West Palm Beach, FL 33407. A memorial contribution may also be made to Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc., 1600 Corporate Landing Pkwy., Virginia Beach, VA 23454.
Survivors include her two children, Lynne Moon and husband Bill, Stuart and John Hays and wife Gwen, Newark, DE; three grandchildren, Matthew Russo and wife Jennie, Lantana, Kelly O'Connor and husband Steve, Philadelphia, PA and Tyler Hays and Megan Koronik, Middletown, DE; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Deery Hays, Middletown, DE and cousins Tom Main and wife Gale, Mike Main and wife Dianne and Marilyn Moore and husband John, all of Lamar, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ward Hays and a son, Stephen Randolph Hays.
Mrs. Hays was born Jan. 29, 1929, to Raymond and Thelma (Moore) Gould. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines, director of the Gladnotes singing group at Trinity United Methodist Church and was a professional clown, “Sunshine”. She brought fun and joy to many. She was a 31 year old friend of Bill and Lois Wilson and active in the recovery community and beloved by many.
