PHILLIP BUDD

JASPER- A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Weng Funeral Chapel for Phillip “Uncle Phip” Budd, 63, Jasper, who died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Waters Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 3p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jasper First Responders, in care of the funeral chapel.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Budd, Jasper; a brother, Rex Budd and wife Rita, Neosho; three sisters, Violet Kollmeyer and husband Murl, Greenfield, Kay Budd, Jasper and Hope Budd, state of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Budd was born Jan. 19, 1954, in Lamar, to Merle Rex Sr. and Betty L. (Brown) Budd. He was a 1973 graduate of Jasper High School. He was a truck driver and was a member of the Christian faith.
