Kaitlyn Davis, daughter of Matt and Elizabeth Davis, Lamar; Kendall Krueth, son of Kevin and Linda  Krueth, Liberal and Lexi Phipps, daughter of Joyce and Scott Phipps, Lamar, recently attended National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Ga. The trio enjoyed the outstanding trip filled with leadership, community service and workshop opportunities. The event closed with a gala ball the group enjoyed, with delegates for the SW region, as well as the new friends from other states and Puerto Rico. Barton County 4-H is very proud of the youth representation to the National 4-H Congress.

Madalyn Swatosh, daughter of Stacie Read and Matt Swatosh, is the eighth grade Lamar Middle School Student of The Week. Madalyn likes playing basketball on her middle school team. She also enjoys art and sleeping because it "feels good." Madalyn also said she doesn't have a favorite animal and loves them all.
