LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Beverly Keith Howrey, 86, Lamar, who died Monday, March 27, 2017, at Truman Healthcare Center. Walter Howrey will officiate. Burial will be in Nashville (Mo.) Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Survivors include a sister, Geyne Shoff, Lamar; two nephews, Dayne and Harold Shoff; three great-nephews and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Willis Shoff.

Mr. Howrey was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Nashville, Mo., to Ralph Lee and Dimple Pearl (Callison) Howrey. He joined and served many years in the Army National Guard.

He was an excellent mechanic, preferring Ford Motor Co. products, but could work on anything that ran.

He was a longtime member of the Nashville Christian Church and was also a member of the local American Legion. He loved working with horses and was a member of the Lamar Saddle Club.
