LAMAR- Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Gary “Conrad” Harper, 64, Lamar, who died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Lamar Lions Club, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann, of the home; a son, Gary Harper, Sarcoxie; a daughter, Christina Horton, Gladstone; nine grandchildren, Cheyenne, Hailey, Emma, Eli, Ariel, Asia, Aliya, Aileen and Anastasia and one great-grandson, Bryston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, L.D. Harper and an infant sister, Karen Harper.

Mr. Harper was born Nov. 14, 1952, in Lamar, to Lawrence Dewey and Ruth Francis (Eagles) Harper. He was a self-employed farmer until his health no longer would allow him to farm.

He was a member of Mount Olive Church near Greenfield and was very active in the Lamar Lions Club.

He married Jo Ann Costley on July 25, 1975, in Iantha.
