GOLDEN CITY- The family will gather privately at a later time for inurnment at the Elijah Church of Christ Cemetery in Ozark County for Winter Dawn Riley, 56, Golden City, who died Monday, May 15, 2017.

Survivors include her parents, Gary and Marjorie Cross; a son, Tommy Plante; Madeline Berry, who was like a daughter; Adam Wood and Matthew Oloson, who were like sons; three aunts, Clela, Pat and Cleo; three siblings, Carl “Butch” Cross and wife Janet, Tracy Asher and husband Thomas and Gary Cross and his spouse and nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Uncle Bud and his wife Alice, Uncle Jack and his wife Laverne, Uncle Ted, Uncle Bernie, Aunt Kathleen, Uncle Pat, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Mary.

Mrs. Riley was born Jan. 10, 1961, in Wichita, Kan., to Gary John and Marjorie Ann Cross.

With an artistic mind, she enjoyed painting, drawing and gardening. In the great outdoors, she spent time camping, floating and appreciating the beauty of flowers in nature. She cared for animals, including her dog Shorty. She dedicated many of her working years in a paper factory. Most importantly, she was a proud mother, devoted to her loving family.
