Lamar TigerSharks members Macy Bean, Kaitlyn Davis, Mycah Reed and Meghan Watson were presented with commemorative plaques for breaking the Tri-State Conference record for the 13-14 Girls 200 yard freestyle relay last summer. The quartet, affectionately known as the Fab 4, broke a 10-year old record at the Lamar Invitational on July 23, 2016, with a time of 1:49.53. Two weeks later the relay broke their own record at Tri-State Conference “A” Division Swim Championships with a time of 1:48.46. These four swimmers first swam together midway through the 2014 summer season. Since that time they have been the Tri-State Conference Champions in the medley and freestyle relays in 2015 and 2016. Their TigerSharks medley and freestyle relays have also been undefeated in competition for the past three years; they are only two seconds away from the medley relay record and they will compete at the 2017 Tri-State Conference “A” Division Swim Championships on August 5 and 6, as the number one seed in each event.
