It’s all in the genes

The Lamar TigerSharks participated in the Carthage Invitational on July 22 and 23, for their final swim meet of the regular summer season. Every swimmer could compete in up to six individual events and two relays. The top eight finishers in each event scored team points. Pictured, left to right, Mycah Beth Reed won the High Point Trophy in the “A” Division for 13-14 Girls, with Meghan Watson finishing in second place overall and Kaitlyn Davis finishing in fourth place overall. These three girls were also part of the 13-14 Girls relays (along with Macy Bean) that blazed to first place finishes, dominating their closest competitor in the medley relay by more than 19 seconds and out-distancing the second place finisher in the freestyle relay by almost nine seconds.

Jill and Carter Pugh of Iantha recently showed their miniature mules at the Missouri State Fair, winning several ribbons including Reserve Grand Champion with their 11 year old miniature mule, Frosty, pictured with Carter. Five month old April, shown with Jill, brought home the award for the 2017 Missouri State Fair Grand Champion Miniature Mule.
