LINDA HAWTHORNE

LAMAR- A private service will be held for Linda Sue Hawthorne, 70, Lamar, who died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Truman Healthcare in Lamar. Burial will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, at Little Sioux Cemetery in Little Sioux, Iowa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Ellison, Iowa and Carrie Kirbey and husband Mike, Lamar; one son, Cody Baines, DeWitt, Iowa; five grandchildren, Tasha Southerland and husband Trey, Andrews, Texas, Kimber Gastel and husband Zac, Michael Jones, Keaton Kirbey and Hunter Kirbey, Lamar; three grandchildren, Bentley Campbell, Rayley Gastel and Conway Gastel and one sister, Roxanne Beaman and husband Gary, Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Eugene Cooper.

Mrs. Hawthorne was born Dec. 11, 1946, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to Herman and Carrie (Huff) Cooper. She was a CNA at the Nevada State Hospital, where she worked in rehab for 12 years.
