JOPLIN-Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Weng Funeral Chapel in Jasper for David L. McClintock, 60, Joplin, who died Thursday, June 25, 2015, bravely facing the trials of ALS. Burial was at Paradise Cemetery in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his mother, Roselea McClintock, Lamar; his best friend, Debbie Chasten, Joplin; two sons, Gabe McClintock, Carl Junction and Travis McClintock, Joplin; 10 grandchildren, Hunter, Alexa, Keaton, Brooklynn, Bailee, Harlie, Haygun, Hadlyn, Lana and Kysynn McClintock; four brothers, Steve McClintock and wife Donna, Nixa, Ed Dingman and wife Judy, Aurora, James McClintock and wife Pam, Jasper and Gordon McClintock, Jasper; a sister, Elaine McCulloch and husband Rocky, Lamar and 29 nieces and nephews, including grands.

Mr. McClintock was born Feb. 9, 1955, at Carthage, to Emmett and Roselea McClintock. He grew up on a farm near Jasper, graduating from JHS in 1973. He was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church. He had worked the last 27 years at Leggett & Platt until his forced medical retirement earlier this year. His love for the outdoors included hunting, fishing, canoeing and raising plants.
