LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Living Word Church, 42 NE 1st Ln., for Randie Dee Carnahan, 62, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly; a daughter, Victoria Leandra Bergland and husband Ethan, Carl Junction; a son, Shane Allen Carnahan and fiance Betty, Lamar and four brothers, his twin, Rickie Carnahan, Lamar, Kenny Carnahan, Lamar, Doug Carnahan, Indiana and Donnie Carnahan, Desert Hot Springs, Calif.

Mr. Carnahan and his twin brother Rickie were born Aug. 15, 1955, in Auburn, Ind., to Robert D. and Carol J. (Baker) Carnahan. He married Kimberly J. Clayton and together they made their home in California, where he worked for the Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where he was the supervisor of the golf course member services department. In his youth he was a capable athlete and had tried out for the Los Angeles Angels and made the team, only to have his career cut short by an injury. He remained a loyal fan throughout his life.

He and his family moved to Lamar in 2015 to be near family who live in the area. He loved life and enjoyed family and friends. He was a follower of Jesus Christ and was active at Living Word Church in Lamar.
