ASBURY- A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg, Kan. for Micah Allison Pennington, 37, Asbury, who died at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. Pastor Woody Wilkenson will officiate. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, Kan.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the mortuary.
Contributions may be made to the charity of choice, in care of the mortuary.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Pennington, of the home; three children, Marlie Grace Pennington, age 8, Brady William Pennington, age 6 and James Christian Pennington, age 2; her parents, Gary and Delma Ross, Asbury; one brother, Mitch Ross and wife Amy, Carl Junction; one sister, Magarah Charlton and husband Daniel, Liberal; her father and mother-in-law, Larry and Jolene Pennington, Centerville, Kan.; maternal grandfather, Charles Higgins, Sheldon; a sister-in-law, Lisa Pennington, Overland Park, Kan.; two nephews, Colton and Clay Charlton and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Isabell Ross and maternal grandmother, Blanche Higgins.
Mrs. Pennington was born March 24, 1980, at Pittsburg, Kan., to Gary and Delma (Higgins) Ross. She was baptized into Christ at Nashville Christian Church on Aug. 12, 1990, by Pastor Dennis Platt at the age of 10. She attended elementary and high school in Liberal and graduated from Pittsburg State University in 2004 with her Bachelor’s degree. Having graduated from college made her the first member of her family to do so. While at Pittsburg State, she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.
She worked in the pre-press department at Kendall Packaging in Pittsburg, Kan.
She was a member of the Country Christian Church, Pittsburg, Kan., and the Nashville Christian Church, Nashville, Mo. Her life revolved around her family.
She married Chris Pennington on Aug. 2, 2003, in Nashville, Mo.
