Her work ethic, attention to detail and sharp mind helped her to excel as a secretary for various companies including TWA and Bethany Medical Center.

Always active in her community, she was a devoted member of Lamar United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship of the United Methodist Women’s Group. She was instrumental in Chapter No. 74, Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Her love of country was obvious by her work with Barton County Republican Women’s Club and her interest in political campaigns. She and her husband Will enjoyed bluegrass festivals and their winter vacations in the southwest. Above all, family was a priority in her life and nothing brought her more joy than time spent around her table or the yearly Bella Vista vacations making memories with all of her grandchildren.
