They made their home and reared their three children in Lamar, where he worked as a supervisor for the Lamar Street Department for many years. His manicured lawn and spotless vehicles showcased his meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic. He appreciated nature, whether it meant a great day at his favorite fishing spot, enjoying a walk with his faithful dog, Benji, or simply watching the neighborhood rabbits and squirrels. Many will remember him as an entertaining storyteller and loyal friend. His greatest joy came from time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church.
