LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at the Verdella Freewill Baptist Church for Elaine Reynolds, 83, Lamar, who died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2 p.m.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Raye Keeney and husband Dale and Sharon Diane Collier and husband Martin and one son, Dr. D. Keith Reynolds and wife Jeannie; five grandchildren, Bryan Bass and wife Katie, Joshua Keeney, Micah Keeney and wife Kristen, Sara Laepple and husband Hayden and Rachel Collier; six great-grandchildren, Daniel Bass, Bethany Bass, Charity Bass, Kaylee Bass, Seth Laepple and Mira Laepple; a sister, Joy Bilyeu, Lamar and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Beverlin and a sister, Barbara Thomason.

Mrs. Reynolds was born Nov. 3, 1934, near Garber, Okla., to Ray and Edith (Green) Beverlin.

She was a retired postmaster, having served as postmaster at the Richards and Purcell post offices. She had also served as officer in charge of the Liberal Post Office for quite some time.

She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in August of 1950 and was baptized in the First Baptist Church, Pond Creek, Okla. She was presently a member of the First Baptist Church of Lamar.

She married William Bryant Reynolds on Dec. 4, 1953, at the First Baptist Church at Pond Creek, Okla. He died in 2007 after 53 years of marriage.
