LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Mandy Nichole Caruthers, 36, Lamar, who died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, surrounded by her family at her home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.

Contributions are suggested to Cornell Beshore Cancer Institute in honor of Mandy Caruthers, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her loving husband of 13 years; daughters, Madison and Taylor Caruthers, of the home; parents, Debbie and Bill Pyle, Pittsburg, Kan. and Rick and Dawn Heinen; one brother, P.J. Heinen and wife Jackie, Lake Charles, La.; one stepbrother, Michael Crow and wife Whitney; mother-in-law, Cathy Caruthers; brother-in-law, Matthew Caruthers and wife April; sister-in-law, Monica Moore; nieces and nephews, Michael, Darin and Courtney Caruthers, Lexi and Chloe Moore and Kathryn and Harper Crow; grandparents, Richard and Peggy Heinen and grandmother-in-law, Louise Caruthers and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Dan Caruthers; grandparents, Barbara Laird and Earl Hull Sr. and grandparents-in-law, Glenn and Regina McElroy and Orville Caruthers.

Mrs. Caruthers was born Dec. 22, 1981, in Joplin, to Rick and Debbie (Hull) Heinen. She was a 2000 graduate of Pittsburg High School and had attended Labette Community College and Pittsburg State University, which led her to a 17 year career as a digital artist with Miller Professional Imaging in Pittsburg, Kan.

On July 31, 2004, she married the love of her life, Jeremy Caruthers, in Lamar and together they have reared two beautiful daughters, Madison and Taylor. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the New Century Club, a Mary Kay consultant and enjoyed photography and watching and attending her daughter’s sports activities. She loved cooking, family movie nights and attending Royals games as a family. She always had a beautiful smile on her face regardless of the challenges that were facing her.
