LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at the Lamar First Assembly of God Church, for Lorain Jeanette Leer, 71, Lamar, who died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at her home, following a long battle with cancer. Pastor Mark Garfield will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Leer; a daughter, Lola Schreiweis, Springfield; two sons, Mike Bourland, Albany and Thomas Bourland, Broken Arrow, Okla.; a stepson, Chris Leer, Elkland; three stepdaughters, Lisa Leer, Eureka Springs, Ark., Laurie Leer, Pasadena, Calif. and Laramee Leer, Sarcoxie; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one soon to be born; a brother, Arvard Winterowd, Galt, Calif.; five sisters, Arlene Williams, Lancaster, Calif., Sharon Winterowd, Sacramento, Calif., Linda Reeves, Grand Junction, Colo., Pam Kelley, Lamar and Diane Dighero, Nevada, Mo. and a mother-in-law, Freida Leer, also of Nevada.

Mrs. Leer was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Sacramento, Calif., to Leonard and Barbara (Bolster) Winterowd. She was a member of the dietary department at Barton County Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2012 after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the Lamar First Assembly of God Church. She will always be remembered as a good cook and her love for her cats.

She married Larry Leer on Oct. 28, 1990, in Jerico Springs.
